I hail from a little town in Mumbai, India and made my way to Dubai to find a high paying job, way back in 1999. At least that’s what was advised by my parents and relatives. Being a Mechanical Engineer armed with an MBA, I thought I had it all. I landed a job in one of the top tyre companies in the world, Bridgestone. I was on top of the world.

Three months
down the line, I was fortunate to meet Jenny, a beautiful lady from the
Philippines, who was to be my better half 4 years later.

I was
living for the moment, and cared two hoots about the future. Little did I know
that I was digging myself deep into financial burden by living off credit
cards. Even after Jenny and I got married, I didn’t pay attention to our
finances.

I was busy
with my work, which took me to more than 20 countries. However, I used to spend
less and less time with Jenny. This caused strain in our relationship.
All this
changed when we conceived with our son, Xander. It was one of the most amazing
moments of our life. Upon her
pregnancy, Jenny decided to quit her job at Sharp Electronics to be home and
take care of our son who was growing inside her belly. However, my job kept me
busy and this caused Jenny to get more frustrated, as she didn’t have anybody
to share her experience with.

We almost
came to breaking up on the day of birth of Xander. This was because I was busy
at work, when Jenny was having her labor pains. And because I was to address a
press conference for a new product that I was launching in the market, I
couldn’t be by Jenny’s side to take her to the hospital. I asked my boss to
relieve me, but he declined because nobody else was equipped to replace me. I
swore that day never again I will go through this pain ever again. This was one
of the turning points of my life!

Fortunately,
I managed to finish the main event on time, and rushed to the hospital and was
by Jenny’s side throughout the delivery.

Life took
on a new meaning bringing along with it greater responsibilities. One of the
growing responsibilities was to generate enough income to take care of the baby
and Jenny. Ever since Jenny quit working a job, this weight lay squarely on my
shoulders. This is when I began to feel the pressure of being restricted to a
single source of income.
That’s when
I got involved in an MLM opportunity to generate the extra money that I needed
to make ends meet. It started out well but soon we realized that we were
spending more money than we were making. The worst part was that all my friends
who I pitched to started avoiding me. They stopped picking up my calls, which
made me feel wretched. At the same time, I was getting increasingly frustrated
with the dying downlines and lack of motivation within the team. This caused me
to rethink my strategy about continuing with the MLM business. I didn’t want to
lose any more friends and certainly didn’t want to trick people into joining
with a rosy presentation.
I went to
the internet to find an alternative source of income. And I found lot of
garbage on the net. It was difficult to see through the hype and fluff.
Fortunately, mother luck was to shine upon us. We came across this wonderful
opportunity, which was backed by a professional training program to boot. Even
though we were complete novices as far as the internet was concerned (I thought
having a personal website needed government permission), we were taught
everything systematically. Today we have contributed to the community with lots
of websites, articles, videos, ads, etc. This opportunity that we got involved
in had a family-type atmosphere where even some 66 year olds, who have never
used the computer before, were running a profitable online business. It is just
incredible!
